Melanie Williams, Executive Director of the Community Care Center, welcomed CEO and shared the mission of the non profit organization. The Community Care Center serves individuals and families in Madison County and provides food, clothing and help in cooperation with local, state and federal agencies. She talked about the community donations from local grocers, churches, businesses and organizations. Students learned about the community programs offered such as the Soup Kitchen, Food Pantry, Christmas Warmth, Calico Loft and Back to School. They employ five employees and gain the support of 15 to 20 volunteers each day.

Melanie talked about a new WORKS program to help bring community members assistance in supporting themselves. She shared her background and career path and encouraged students to believe in themselves so they can get others to believe in them. Be honest and be accountable.
