Today’s stop! City Hall!
CEO Board Member and City Clerk, Jenna De Yong, spent her morning by giving the students a private tour of City Hall.
The day started with donuts and morning announcements. City Hall members then gathered around to share the ultimate birthday celebration, City Hall style, to Addie and Z! (Make sure to check out the video! They might have been still picking out confetti from their hair at the end of the tour 🤣)
City Hall is home to many documents, including birth and death certificates dating back to the 1800’s. Some of the books looked like they belonged in the Harry Potter movies!
Students were able to sit in Mayor Parkinson’s desk, pretended to attend a Council Meeting, and visit and witness behind the scenes of the many departments and offices housed at City Hall.
Thank you to all the employees at City Hall that make sure all the moving pieces are indeed moving to ensure our city and community are continuing to grow and flourish in a positive way!
