CEO board member, Lacy Able did a GREAT job at teaching students about financial literacy. She explained financial literacy in terms any ‘every day’ person can understand.
For example, budgeting is like a diet. You have to create the habit. You also have to know yourself and your spending habits.
Another a great example is that your credit score is calculated similar to that of a GPA. If you start out making a D in the class or not paying your bills, your credit score or GPA will suffer. It’s always a good practice to pay all your bills on time and keep your credit card balances at a zero balance after each month.
