Organization:  Founded in 2010, the Midland Institute for Entrepreneurship partners with communities throughout the United States to establish and maintain quality CEO programs.  Our vision is to be the standard for entrepreneurship education in the United States.  We do that by providing world class customer service, guidance and content to our CEO communities.

Position Title:
Regional Program Support
Reports to: Kristy Sayers - Director of Community Support
Location: Remote (with occasional regional travel)
Status: Part-Time Contractor (Estimated 20-25 hours per month)

Position Summary:
Regional Support plays a vital role in ensuring the success of CEO programs within an assigned region. This role offers hands-on support to local program leaders (facilitators and boards), builds strong relationships, and ensures alignment with the mission and standards of the CEO (Midland Institute for Entrepreneurship) organization.

You'll be the go-to contact for program guidance, best practices, and resource navigation, helping local teams feel connected, confident, and equipped throughout the program year. Participate in developing what Regional Support will consist of for facilitators and boards.

Regions have been identified across our program footprint that would naturally work together.  Midland Institute for Entrepreneurship is seeking to fill four open positions with Regional Program Support Positions: 

  • Illinois: Northern Illinois, Central Illinois
  • Illinois: South Central, Eastern Illinois
  • Illinois: Southern Illinois, Southwestern Illinois
  • Indiana & Ohio

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Relationship & Support
    • Maintain consistent communication with assigned programs facilitators and board members through check-ins (phone call, virtual meetings or in-person)
    • Serve as a resource for facilitators and board chairs, offering encouragement, ideas, and solutions
    • Attend board meetings per program on a rotational basis to stay engaged and observe progress.
    • Support facilitators & Board members in meeting milestones such as class business development, trade show prep, and student engagement
    • Organize and/or support Regional Gatherings / Meetings
  • Resource Connection & Guidance
    • Connect facilitators and boards to the appropriate tools, templates, and Midland Institute offerings
    • Reinforce best practices in facilitation, board operations, and community involvement
    • Support programs transitioning from Foundation Years (years 1 & 2) to Regional Program Support with conversations and follow-up.
  • Communication & Internal Reporting
    • Document program touchpoints and observations using provided log for phone calls/visits
    • Flag emerging needs, risks, or share community bright spots to Regional Program Support Coordinator
    • Collaborate with other Regional Support and Regional Program Support Coordinator in recurring team meetings (frequency of meetings to be determined by the coordinator and team)
  • Regional Awareness & Leadership
    • Stay informed on community dynamics, program structure, and leadership changes within your region
    • Participate in the planning or support of occasional regional events, tours, or gatherings
    • Identify opportunities for program improvement or new program development

Tools & Platforms:

  • Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Calendar)
  • Slack (team communication)
  • Video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Google Meet) Program-specific dashboards or internal tracking tools

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Organized and proactive, with strong follow-through
  • At least 2 years experience facilitating or serving on the local CEO Board.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • Ability to travel regionally occasionally
