Brian Bergin
For more than two decades, Brian Bergin has been a driving force behind the Career and Technical Education Program at Alton School District. As CTE Division Chair, he built a reputation for forward‑thinking leadership, innovative curriculum design, and a deep commitment to helping students discover meaningful pathways toward their futures.
Brian’s work spans far beyond the classroom. He has developed new courses that reflect emerging industries, mentored instructors as they enter and grow within the profession, and led a thriving Professional Learning Community focused on collaboration and continuous improvement. His ability to connect with staff, students, and stakeholders has strengthened the district’s CTE programs and ensured that resources—from grant purchases to equipment inventories—are aligned with real needs and long‑term goals.
With an MBA from Eastern Illinois University and a BS in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Illinois at Urbana‑Champaign, Brian brings both academic insight and practical experience to his leadership. His career reflects a steady dedication to empowering students, supporting educators, and advancing high‑quality technical education.
Brian is focused on bringing the same qualities to the Granite City CEO Program, helping students bring their entrepreneurial plans to reality.
