On Friday September 18th the Granite City CEO Program visited Mr. Twist Ice Cream Shop on Madison Avenue. This iconic Granite City ice cream shop serves some of the most sought after ice cream and sherbert in the St. Louis area, consistently ranking with the likes of Ted Drews.

Owner Felicia Urioste, who took over the store from her parents Felix and Mary, has continued to build the Mr. Twist brand. She stated that they are constantly looking for new ideas to keep the menu fresh. Hiring good staff, using quality ingredients and protecting your reputation are cornerstones of their success. She is very thankful for the support the Granite City community has given Mr. Twist.

Of course the highlight of the visit was getting to make and try some ice cream and sherbert menu items. You know the day is going well when it’s ice cream for breakfast!
