2026-2027 Granite City CEO Participants...

Hi, my name is Millie Torres, I am 17 years old and living with an amazing adopted family in Granite City, Illinois. I am currently a senior in high school. Some things I have accomplished would be moving to Granite City and flipping my entire life around for the better at just 16. It was hard work and I had to put in a lot of effort but I have made something to be proud of.

I would love to travel the world and have the best memories I can dream of. I want to study architecture and business. I want to build my own air bnb’s and rent them out in nature areas. I think I haven't fully decided.

I like to build, design, and create new imagination to bring smiles to others' faces. I paint and make stuff a lot. I like to dance and be in nature as well. Nature is probably the most important and beautiful thing on this planet.

I chose CEO because I heard about it over the school entercom and it sounded like it could benefit me. I went home and talked to my adoptive mom about it and she was ecstatic and said it would be awesome for me so I know I did the right thing. I was nervous at first but once we started class everything got easier. I am honestly so glad I was there to hear the announcements that day because this is going to set me so far ahead in my future goals.
