On Monday September 28th the Granite City CEO Program visited Cionkos Meat Market on Madison Avenue. Nathan Crane told us his journey to becoming owner…growing up just blocks away and working at the meat market, learning the business. Early on he dressed deer at the shop and split the profits with the owners to earn money.
Mr. Crane talked a lot about what it takes to be successful. About making your own luck, working hard, putting in the effort and surrounding yourself with good people. He made it a point to say that not everyone needs to go to college and that you have to find what you are passionate about.
DREAM
DESIRE
EFFORT
DEDICATION
=VICTORY
These are words that Mr. Crane takes to heart and believes will lead you to success.
So if you're in the mood to cookout, head to Cionkos for supplies. If you’re not check out Mr. Crane's band The Houseshakers…he’s the drummer, after learning how to play in his 40’s.
